When someone asks me what I like best about Japan?
I always say without hesitation: “Cherry Blossoms, Pearls, Hot Springs,”.
When I was living in Japan, I by chance entered the jewelry industry and I love it.
Under the guidance of my mentor, Mr. S.J. Murakami, I obtained the qualification of an appraiser from GIA (Gemological Institute Of America) in the United States, called G.G.
When I came to Hong Kong, I said goodbye to jewelry-related work.
In the spring of 2019, I met my mentor, Mr. S.J. Murakami again in Hong Kong. The attitude and professionalism of my mentor’s earnest work, as well as the precepts and deeds of helping younger generations, have once again impressed me.
Encouraged and motivated, I decided to pick up my love for jewelry again.
UChi is the name of a city under the jurisdiction of Kyoto Prefecture. Kyoto is one of my favorite cities and I like the taste of its ancient capital.
Yasuko is the Japanese name I used when I lived in Japan.
